Advising

Students seeking advising in the Computer Science major should contact the Department Administrative Coordinator, Jen Aaseth, to schedule an appointment with the major advisor. Jen can be reached at phone (707) 664-2667 or email jen.aaseth@sonoma.edu. Jen is on maternity leave starting on Monday, November 15. Students should complete the following tasks before an advising session and be sure to bring the appropriate paperwork to their appointment:

1. Consult the CS Advising Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) resource.
2. Print out a copy of your Degree Progress Report from PeopleSoft.

3. Fill out the appropriate GE Pattern worksheet. Students attending SSU beginning in their freshman year complete the 51 unit GE pattern; transfer students with at least 30 transfer units complete the 48 unit GE pattern.
