These pigtails are used to connect a Xyplex terminal
server to a Cisco 2900 console port provided the
terminal server is working and can provide
RTS and CTS signals on pings 1 and 8.

These pigtails are used to connect a Xyplex terminal
server to a Cisco 2900 console port when the
terminal server is broken and cannot provide
RTS and CTS signals on pings 1 and 8. In this case
the RTS and CTS lines from the Cisco 2900
must be tied together inside the female connector.
